Meet Steve Soderbergh’s “Logan Lucky” Team!

The Director of “Oceans 11” is back with another great heist movie – and another terrific cast!

Channing Tatum is joined by Riley Keough, Adam Driver, Katherine Waterston, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank and an “almost unrecognizable” 007!

Yes, Daniel Craig sports a unique look in the film – great to see him having fun again!

They all come together as two brothers attempt to pull off a brazen robbery during a NASCAR event.

Check out the trailer for “Logan Lucky”:

This has the same sense of fun and energy as “Oceans”, and since Tatum and Soderbergh have a great creative partnership, you can see that it’s going to be a great time.

Soderbergh Takes On the Hollywood Studio System!

Soderbergh has taken many daring creative detours in his career, and made headlines a few years ago when he announced his “retirement” from movies. But that just meant he was going into TV, having burnt out from the way Hollywood did business.

Now, he’s got a new film hitting theaters – but with a new business model.

“Logan Lucky” is his attempt to release movies differently – releasing films without using the major studio system as it exists right now – it’s a daring move, and Peter Bart from Deadline.com has a great story about how “Logan Lucky” could usher in a new way of distributing films – check it out here:

Soderbergh has bucked the system before, when he and Tatum self-funded “Magic Mike” after the major studios balked at a movie about male strippers:

Of course, “Magic Mike” was one of the most successful independent films of all time…here is a look at this great movie:

I loved that “Mike” had the tone and style of a 70’s film, as did his film noir thriller “The Limey”:

Here’s an inside look at this classic revenge thriller:

I have posted about many of Soderbergh’s films – everything from “Erin Brockovich” to “Out Of Sight” and “Side Effects.”

I loved this medical thriller, and you can see the trailer here:

Good luck to Soderbergh and the creative team behind “Logan Lucky” – here’s to breaking new ground in Hollywood! Let me know if you hang out with the Logan gang!
